It's that time of year again to start thinking about sailboats.
I sail with a friend and the right thing to do is schedule some weekend time to pull his boat out of storage and tend to all those little things that deserve attention. There are the giant bungies (not the technical term :-> ) which hold us to the boat when up on one pontoon. And there are the little metal doohickies (more sailor-speak) that hold the mast to the trampoline and the rudders to the transom (now there's a real sailing term).
When he first got his boat, and then last year when we fixed it up, we got all the hardware from West Marine. Great store! They have all the stuff you need. Nice that the original store is the next town over, in Mountain View, California. But now they've grown to many locations. Good shopping and browsing on their website.
